Thanks to the well-coordinated work established between the members of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Consortium – ADY Container (Azerbaijan), KTZ Express (Kazakhstan), GR Logistics (Georgia) and Pacific Eurasia Logistics (Turkey), early delivery of goods from China to Turkey has become regular. Another block train from Xi’an to Istanbul was delivered three days ahead of the schedule.

The 47-container block train completed the Xi’an-Istanbul route in 16 days (regualar 19 days). The 40-foot containers carrying various freight were delivered from the Port of Aktau in Kazakhstan to the Port of Baku by Beket-Ata, the feeder ship operated by ADY Container, then loaded onto platforms and sent to Turkey via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.

The train covered the distance from the Port of Baku to Boyuk Kesik station in Azerbaijan in 18 hours (regular 24 hours). It took 11 hours (regular 24 hours) to transport the containers in Akhalkalaki, and 4 hours (regular 24 hours) to Kars. The container train then arrived to Istanbul in 53 hours, saving a total of 43 hours of travel time.
