The feeder vessel “Rasul Rza”, operating between the Black Sea ports and thereby establishing an important transport link in container cargo transportation from China and Central Asia to Europe, as well as in the reverse direction, departed from the Romanian port of Constanta for its next trip. This time around, food products intended for Central Asian countries from Europe were delivered to the Georgian port of Batumi by vessel.
The cargo is loaded into 24 reefer containers with a special cooling system. The expected transit time of containers from Constanta to Aktau port in Kazakhstan is 14 days.
It should be noted that full transportation of loaded containers in both directions is one of the main factors that ensure profitability in rail cargo transportation.
Feeder transportation in the Black Sea is carried out within the framework of the joint project of ADY Container and ASCO (Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company). The vessel, which will deliver containers from Batumi to Constanta port and the reverse direction, will make 6 trips per month.
