The first container block train of the year 2024 from China to Azerbaijan via Trans-Caspian International Transport Route has reached Baku.
The block train, originating from the city of Xi’an in China, is now at the Baku port. The containers were delivered to Azerbaijan in a very short time, only within 11 days. The containers were brought from the Aktau port in Kazakhstan to the Alat port via Kazakhstan’s “Berkut” feeder vessel.
The train consists of 55 containers, each measuring 40 feet. These containers contain electric cars, construction materials, various-sized pipes, and other products. The containers will be handed over to customers at the Absheron Logistics Center.
Currently, another container block train is being planned from Xi’an to Baku
