The next container block train from Uzbekistan to Turkey has reached the Port of Baku

The next container block train, consisting of 62 containers, travelling from Bukhara, Uzbekistan to Mersin, Turkey has arrived at the Baku Port. The block train consists of 40-foot containers. Chemical products and fertilizers are being transported in containers to Turkey. The containers were delivered from Turkmenbashi port to Baku port by Mahmud Rahimov feeder ship. Here, the containers will be loaded onto platforms, and then sent to Turkey via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line.

The project is implemented within the “Asia-Pacific region China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey-Europe transport route”.

The volume of cargo transportation on this route in 2021 has increased by 101 percent compared to 2020.
