Representatives of “ADY Container” LLC, a subsidiary of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, participated in the “European Silk Road Summit” organized in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on November 29-December 1, 2023.
Rashad Majidov, representative of “ADY Container” LLC, informed the participants of the summit about the importance of Azerbaijan in the Middle Corridor, the measures taken to increase the functionality and competitiveness of the Corridor. In the current geopolitical situation in the Eurasian region, the advantages of the Middle Corridor compared to other alternative routes and complex logistic solutions for the Corridor were discussed. The special role of the Middle Corridor in increasing the trade turnover between Azerbaijan, Central Asia, China, and European countries was emphasized.
An increase of more than 2 times or 127 percent was recorded in container transportation on the Middle Corridor in the west-east direction through Azerbaijan during the 11 months of 2023 compared to the same period of the last year.
