The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway transported the ten thousands of containers. The 40-foot container was delivered to the Yeti Water Station in Kazakhstan as part of a block train running on the Turkey-Kazakhstan route. The 20-container block train was loaded with diesel-powered cars. The transportation was carried out by ADY Container, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.
Since the launch of BTK railway in October 30 2017, its volume of cargo transportation is steadily increasing. Thus, 4135 (TEU) containers in the last year, while 5810 (TEU) containers in this year, were transported by this route.
