The total distance from Qingdao, China to Baku city was overcome in 15 days for the train consisting of 50 containers, each 40 foot long, loaded with various freight. Travelling from port of Aktau to port of Alat by a feeder “Beket Ata”, operated by ADY Container, 15 of the containers will further be sent to Tbilisi city, capital of Georgia.
The project was implemented through joint-venture of KTZ Express, ADY Container LLC and GR Logistics and Terminals – members of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Consortium.
By the end of 2021, ADY Container LLC, a subsidiary of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, intends to deliver up to 50 container block trains in the direction of China – Azerbaijan.
