A research team comprised of representatives of Indian Mumbai port, Sri Lanka’s Colombo port and Chittagong port of Bangladesh has been conducting research during two months at ADY Container LLC. The purpose of the study was to investigate the possibilities of the North-South International Transport Corridor, which lies across territory of Azerbaijan, and to explore the prospects for attracting additional volumes of cargo into this route.
The researchers were invited from specifically these ports, as their respective countries represent big potential for freight volume for International North-South Transport Corridor.
During the final event of the research mission on December 27, 2019, the team presented the results of their research and made recommendations for enhancing the capabilities of the North-South International Transport Corridor.
This research mission is a part of the research and development activities conducted by the ADY Container LLC in order to increase volume of the multimodal container freight into international transport corridors across Azerbaijan.
