Representatives of ADY Container LLC participated in the solemn ceremony of welcoming the container train on the route Xi’an-Prague on November 6, 2019 in Ankara, Turkey. Representatives of the railway authorities of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and China attended the ceremony.
During the event, a protocol was signed on a new model of regional cooperation in the area of increasing the volume of traffic on the Middle Corridor, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.
This train, which runs along the Trans-Caspian International Transportation Route, will be the first ever freight train to reach Europe travelling uninterruptedly via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad and further the Marmaray railway tunnel in Turkey.
Responsible operator for this train is a consortium of the Trans-Caspian International Transportation Route.
Azerbaijan is represented in this consortium by ADY Container LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways Administration.
