ADY participated in the “Transportation and Logistics – 2023” exhibition

A delegation led by the Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Rovshan Rustamov visited Munich to participate in the international exhibition “Transport and Logistics – 2023”. During bilateral meetings with the leaders of “InterRail”, DHL, “Forwardis”, “Hupac”, HHLA, “DB Cargo”, “PKP Cargo”, and other international freight carriers, ADY Chairman R. Rustamov discussed in detail the issues of accelerated transportation of containerized goods from China to Europe via the Middle Corridor, optimization of transit time, increasing cargo volumes, and attracting new cargo.

In order to increase the transportability of goods, establish joint information exchange with all railway institutions participating in the Middle Corridor, coordinate the movement of transported goods with the Operational Center, improve medium-term planning, and implement infrastructure projects, including eliminating “bottlenecks” on the route and providing detailed information about traffic composition, the company’s managers provided information.

The company’s leaders were informed that in order to increase the volume of freight traffic, a general information exchange has been established with all railway institutions participating in the Middle Corridor. It was noted that during the first 3 months of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, the delivery times of containerized goods from China and Central Asia to Europe via Azerbaijan have been significantly optimized, with an average delivery time of 20 days.

At the “Transport and Logistics – 2023” exhibition, ADY’s subsidiary companies, “ADY Express” and “ADY Container,” presented themselves under a single stand. The exhibition, organized in Munich, featured about 2,500 companies representing 65 countries around the world, all of which have their own individual stands and conduct extensive presentations about their services in the field of transport, logistics, freight, and high technologies.

Since 1978, the “Transport and Logistics” exhibition has been one of the five largest in the world and is held every two years. The exhibition is the largest international platform dedicated to automobile, railway, water, and air transport.
