The first block train of the year from China to Georgia departed from Baku

The first container block train of 2021 from China to Georgia, travelling via Azerbaijan, has been set off from Baku city to Tbilisi, the capital of the Republic of Georgia. The train, transportation of which is carried out on the order of Maersk and MSC, consists in total of 56 containers. The containers were delivered to the port of Baku via the Aktau – Alat feeder line. 41 of them were sent from Xi’an city and 15 from Qingdao, all loaded mainly with car tires.

The train has already left Baku and is expected to arrive in Tbilisi tomorrow.

The project is implemented in cooperation with KTZ Express, ADY Container LLC and GR Logistics and Terminals – members of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Consortium.
