“ADY Container” LLC, a subsidiary of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, has achieved an increase in the volume of imported and exported goods transported by containers over the first nine months of this year. Specifically, during the first nine months of 2023, the transportation of imported goods by containers amounted to 8,059 TEUs, while during the same period in 2022, this figure was 5,356 TEUs. This represents a 50% increase in the transportation of goods under the import regime. Notably, the imported goods primarily include various industrial and chemical products, non-ferrous metallurgy, construction materials, vehicles, and their spare parts.
When it comes to the transportation of export goods by containers, “ADY Container” LLC carried 11,306 TEUs during the first nine months of 2023, compared to 4,609 TEUs during the same period in 2022. This signifies a remarkable 145% increase in the transportation of export-oriented goods. The transported export goods are mainly dominated by non-ferrous metallurgy, industrial products, and chemical industry products.
